As Shri Raghubhooshana Teertharu reached Haripada during sanchara, he had not selected his successor (uttaradhikari). The disciples of Shri matha approached Shri Vibhudapriya Teertharu of Adamaru Matha seeking guidance. Bhodaray, a youg boy was selected and sanyasa ashrama was ordained on him and was named 'Shri Raghu Tilaka Teertha'. He was born in 1902 and took sanyasa in 1910. He was very calm and composed. He learnt the sampradaya of the matha from elderly scholars of the matha. He began his study under their guidance. He also had tutelage under Shri Sathyadhyana Teertharu of Uttaradi Matha. He was very much interested in Srimad Bhagavata. He used to quote frequently from Srimad Bhagavata. He followed Shri Raghupraveera Teertha's 'Vrundavanakhyanaokta pooja paddati'. He also did 'Vadirajamantrajapanushtana'. He along with 'Om Shri Vadiraja Gurubhyo Nama' would also recite 'Kamadhenu yathapoorvam-akhyanokta' shloka. He had this mantra siddhi.

There were several pundits in the matha during his time. Srinivasa Upadhyaya would always be with him. Ganapathy Josier, after Swamiji left his mortal coil went to Udupi and became a popular astrologer. Shri Raghu Tilaka Teertharu was very generous and charitable. He took care of the disciples visiting the matha with great affection. He gave shelter to several peoople and took care of them. He helped several peoplefinancially. He gave loans to many people. However, he was not strict in recovering them. He was generous during Sabha programs (karyakrama).

He toured South India several times. He received temple honours everywhere. In 1934 he invited scholars from all the three schools of thoughts (trimastharu) and arranged for a debate. He also took active part in several 'sabha karyakramas' conducted by Shri Vidyamanya Teertharu of Palimar/Bhandarakeri Matha and Shri Vishwesha Teertha of Pejavara Matha. In 1964 during 'Madhvaradhantasamvarthini Sabha' at Ashwatta Narasimha Swami Temple on river banks of Malapahari, he gave Bhagavata and Shri Vadiraja's 'Sarasa Bharati Vilasa Upanyasa'.

H had made grand plans for renovation of the moola matha at Bheemana Katte. He remained as pontiff for 59 years. In 1974 he ordained his poorvashrama' brother's son, Shri Lakshmi Narayana and handed over the Matha to him. In 1974 he attained Haripada on Ashwija Shukla Dashami. His brundavana is in Bheemana Katte.

ರಘುಭೂಷಣ ಸಂಜಾತಾನ್ ವಿಭುದಪ್ರಿಯ ಕರೋದ್ಭವಮ್/ ರಘುತಿಲಕತೀರ್ಥಾರ್ಯಾನ್ ವಂದೇ$ಹಂ ಭೀಮಸೇತುಗಮ್// ಶ್ರೀಭೀಮನಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮಠದ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ವಾದಿರಾಜ ಗುರುಸಾರ್ವ ಭೌಮರ ಋಜುತ್ವೋಪಾಸನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ರಗಣ್ಯರೆನಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀರಘುಪ್ರವೀರ ತೀರ್ಥರ ಪ್ರಶಿಷ್ಯರೂ, ಶ್ರೀರಘುಭೂಷಣ ತೀರ್ಥರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀರಘುಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರ ಗುರುಗಳೂ ಆದ ಶ್ರೀರಘುತಿಲಕ ತೀರ್ಥರು 59ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರಚಾರ, ಸಭೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆ, ವಿಚಾರ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿ, ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀರಘುತಿಲಕ ತೀರ್ಥರು, ಅನೇಕ ಸಲ ಶ್ರೀವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಸಭೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತಾವು ಕೂಡ ತ್ರಿಮತಸ್ಥ ಪಂಡಿತರನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಮಗುರುಗಳಂತೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಜರ ಋಜುತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಕ್ತಿ ದೀಕ್ಷೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಶ್ರೀಗಳವರು, ತಮ್ಮ ನಿತ್ಯ ಜಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀವಾದಿರಾಜರ ಮಂತ್ರ ಜಪ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಮಧೇನುರ್ಯಥಾ ಪೂರ್ವಂ... ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಂತ್ರದ ಜಪ ಮಾಡಿ ಶ್ರೀವಾದಿರಾಜರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಅವರಿಂದ ಮಂತ್ರಾಕ್ಷತೆ ಪಡೆದು ಭಕ್ತರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅನೇಕ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಕಷ್ಟ ಅಂತ. ಯಾರೇ ಬಂದರೂ ಜಾತಿ ಮತ ಕುಲಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡದೇ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಗಳವರು, ಅನೇಕರಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯದಾತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಶ್ರೀಮಠದ ಜೀರ್ಣೋದ್ಧಾರವು ಇವರ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯಿತು. 1974ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀರಘುಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಸನ್ಯಾಸ,ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ವಹಿಸಿ, ಅದೇ ವರ್ಷದ ಆಶ್ವೀಜ ಶುಕ್ಲ ದಶಮಿಯಂದು ಬೃಂದಾವನಸ್ಥರಾದರು. ಇವರ ಬೃಂದಾವನ ಭೀಮನಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
