Sri Vijaya Madhava Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Sathya Madhava Theertha in 1987 and ruled Peeta for about 9 years. After initiating Ashrama to Sri Prasanna Shoora Madhava Theertha, he entered Vrundavana at Tambihalli.

shri vijayamAdhava tIrtharu passed away in a very unique way.
He was performing the samsthAna pUje on the occasion of the uttara ArAdhane of shri mAdhava tIrtharu. When he was displaying the vigraha of shri mAdhava tIrtha karArchita, shri narahari tIrtha pUjita shri prasanna rAmachandra dEvaru, a light leapt out of rAma dEvara vigraha and entered him and he breathed his last holding the vigraha. This extraordinary event was witnessed by all the devotees who were participating in the ArAdane that day. This is captured in his charama shlOka.

Sri Vijaya Madhava Theertha had a humble existence as a medical representative in Kolar. His Guru Sri Sathya Madhava Theertha was a police constable. Sri Vijaya Madhava Theertha renewed the two century old contact with Saurashtra Madhvas, of Madurai, who were initiated to Madhva deeksha, by Sri Rama Madhava Theertha between 1720 to 1740. Swamiji had observed chaturmasa at the Hanuman temple, consecrated by Sri Rama Madhava Theertha, at Madurai.
