There are many compositions by Srishakeshava Vittala Dasaru on Raghavendra Swamy or Rayaru. He was a devotee of Raghavendra Swamy and he visited Mantralaya, the abode of Rayaru, several times.
He was earlir known as Subbanna Dasa of Gadhwal. He was one of the many disciples of Gopala Dasa.
