ಮಂಗಳಾಷ್ಟಕ ಕತೃಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರತೀರ್ಥರ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಮಠಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಪ್ರಾತಃ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರತೀರ್ಥರು ಮಠದ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 6ನೇಯವರು. ಮಳಖೇಡದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿರಾಜಮಾನರಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಮೂರ್ತಿ ತೀರ್ಥರಿಂದ ಆಶ್ರಮ ಪಡೆದ ಇವರು, ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಪಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ಬೃಂದಾವನಸ್ಥರಾದರು. ಇವರು ಚಿಕ್ಕಪಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಕಾಲ ಅಂದಾಜು 1354-1360 ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯರು ವೇದಾಂತ - ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ - ನ್ಯಾಯ - ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಸ್ಸಿಮ ಪಂಡಿತರು. ರಾಮ ಸಂದೇಶ ಎಂಬ ಇವರ ಖಂಡಕಾವ್ಯವು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ. ಪ್ರಾತಃ ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರತೀರ್ಥರಿಂದ ರಚಿತವಾದ ಕೃತಿ - ಮಂಗಳಾಷ್ಟಕವೆಂಬ ಪ್ರಾತಃ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಂತೂ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಚಿರಪರಿಚಿತವಾದ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮದುವೆ ಮುಂತಾದ ಮಂಗಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಡುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ರಾಮಮಂದಿರದ ಭೂಮಿಪೂಜೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ನೂತನ ಸಂಪತ್ನ ಅಡಿಗಲ್ಲು ಹಾಕುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಋತ್ವಿಜರು ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರತೀರ್ಥರ ಮಂಗಲಾಷ್ಟಕವನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸಿದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಬಹುದು. ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರತೀರ್ಥರ ಬೃಂದಾವನವು ಪಲಿಮಾರು ಮೂಲ ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದು, ಚೈತ್ರ ಪೌರ್ಣಮೀಯ ಹನುಮಜ್ಜಯಂತೀಯಂದೇ ಇವರ ಆರಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸ್ತುತಿ - ರಾಮಸಂದೇಶಸಕ್ಕೀರ್ತೇ ಮಂಗಳಾಷ್ಟಕ ಸತ್ಯತೇ | ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಖ್ಯಾತೇ ತಪೋಭೂತೇ ಯತೇ ನಮಃ || ಸಮಗದಿತ ಸಮಸ್ತ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಸುವಾಲ್ಮೀ ಕ್ಷಿತಿಸುರಗುರುವಿದ್ಯಾಮೂರ್ತಿ ತೀರ್ಥಾರ್ಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯಾಃ| ರಘುಪತಿ ಪಡಭಕ್ತಃ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಾಖ್ಯಃ ಸುಲಲಿತಪದಬಂಧಃ ಸೂಯತೇ ಮಸ್ಕರೀಶಃ||

Sri Rajarajeswara Theertha is the 6th saint after Sri Hrishikesha Theertha in the guru parampare of Palimar mutt.

Vrundavana/place of demise :

Sri Rajarajeswara Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Vidyamurthy Theertha and did not become head of the mutt as he entered Vrundavana before his guru. He is great scholar and was well versed with all Shastras. He was mastered in kavya shastra. He has composed “Mangalashtaka” which will be recited during mangalakarya’s like marriages, upanayanayana etc, by all Madhwas even today which speaks about his greatness.

He has also written another work called “Sri Rama Sandesha”. It has two parts namely Poorva sandesha and Uttara Sandesha and has 83 and 70 slokas respectively.

He was also mastered in Nyaya shastra and was well debater. There is a manuscript available in the mutt about gifting of Kantavara mutt by Proudadevaraya of Vijayanagar kingdom on his name. His name shall not appear in guru parampare of the mutt because he entered Vrundavana before his guru.
