Sri Tapomurthy Theertha is the 16th saint after Sri Janardhana Theertha in the guru parampare of Krishnapura mutt.

Sri Tapomurthy Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Prajnamurthy Theertha and ruled the Peeta for 11 years. He has learnt Shastras under Sri Vadiraja of Sode mutt. Sri Vadiraja gave him the idol of lord Hayagreeva. He was great tapasvi and expert in yoga.
After handing over Peeta to Sri Sureswara Theertha he entered Vrundavana at Neramballi.
