Sri Viswadhiraja Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Viswadheesha Theertha and ruled the Peeta for 36 years. He was a great scholar, tapasvi and did fasting vrata. He saved his sishyas from the pains of brahma rakshasa bhuta pisachi peeda. He appointed Sri Viswabodha Theertha as his successor and left his mortal body on the 2nd day of Jeshta Shudha at Udupi.
