Sri Viswamurthy Theertha is the 12th saint after Sri Rama Theertha in the guru parampare of Kaniyoor mutt.

Sri Viswamurthy Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Viswapati Theertha and ruled the Peeta for 25 years. He had in-depth knowledge of the scriptures and taught many disciples. He travelled across the country many times and visited all the places of pilgrimage. He handed over the reins of the mutt to his disciple Sri Vedapati Theertha and left the mortal body at the birthplace of river Kaveri on the 8th day of Kartika Shudha after handing over Peeta to Sri Vedapati Theertha. His place of Vrundavana needs to be confirmed after thorough research.
