Sri Viswendra Theertha is the 18th saint after Sri Rama Theertha in the guru parampare of Kaniyoor mutt.

Sri Viswendra Theertha took Ashrama from Sri Varijaksha Theertha and ruled the Peeta for 23 years.
He was a great scholar, undertook pilgrimage tour. He was performing all related activities as per his ashrama, including all the japa, tapa. He was a scholar par excellence in Shastras and he taught his disciples various works of Madhwacharya. He travelled from Himalaya to Kanyakumari and then passed over the reins to his disciple Sri Vibudhavandya Theertha and entered Vrundavana at Muni Kanva’s place of penance in Kaniyoor on the 10th day of Magha Bahula.
