He is the 35th peetadhipathi of Sripadaraja Mutt
Title – He was conferred the title “Yatikula Chakravarthi” by Sri Suyateendra Tirtha Sripadaru of Mantralaya Rayara Mutt, just 8 days before his entering the vrundvana.
He was 92 years and completed 25 years of Chaturmasya
Mruttika Vrundavana of Padmanabha Tirtharu – He installed the Mruttika Vrundavana of Sri Padmanabha Tirtharu, the moola yathi for Sripadaraja Mutt at Mulabagilu.
He had done the 600th Aradhana of Sripadarajaru in a great style, with throughout the year aradhana at Mulbagilu and other places. The 600th year was a memorable which has to be remembered for a long long time. During that period he has honoured almost all Madhwa pandits and honoured those who are unrecognised also.
Sri Vignananidhi Tirtharu has done the Mruttika Vrundavana Pratistapane of our Shakambari Nagara Rayara Mutt on 25.6.1993. He was a regular visitor to Our Shakambari Rayara Mutt. He was proudly telling that our mutt is a branch for Madhwa Tatvajnana. He has done the Gopinatha Devara pooja in our Mutt almost every year since the inauguration. He was claiming that our Shakambari Nagar Rayara Mutt is his home town (tavaru mane).
He was an expert in Sankya shastra.
He installed Sripadaraja Mruttika Vrundavana at Rajarajeswari Nagar, Bangalore
He founded the National Institute for Vedic Sciences in 2001 with the vision of building peace, harmony and happiness
Sri Devendra Tirtharu & Sri Vijnananidhi Tirtharu – Sri Vijnananidhi Tirtharu was very much fond of Sri Devendra Tirtharu, who spent most of his time in Mysore. As Sri Devendra Tirtharu was not from any parampare, he had no place for his vrundavana. At that time came Sri Vijnanidhi Tirtharu who gave the place for his Vrundavana at Mulabagilu near Narasimha Tirtha. He was telling in the first aradhana day of Sri Devendra Tirtharu that “Sri Devendra Tirtharu got sanyasa from vairagya, whereas most sanyasis take sanyasa and then try to get vairagya. Such was the greatness of Devendra Tirtharu”.

He took the sanyasashrama from Sri Vijayanidhi Theertharu at an advanced age and ruled the mahasamsthana for 23 years. He was well versed in Madhwa Siddhanta and was also very much interested in Ayurveda, current affairs and also in politics. Swamiji had great organizational skills and was a visionary planner and developed Mulbagal town during his tenure as a president of Municipal council for two terms. Once he adorned the Peeta, he gradually lost interest in all the materialistic activities and started to concentrate on the spreading the Madhwa Siddhanta and on the development activities of the Mutt.

His Poorvashrama father Sri Krishnamurthy Achar was a member of the erstwhile Mysore representative assembly. He later became the peetadhipathi of Sripadaraja Mutt and was named as Sri Satyanidhi Theertharu. He was also popularly known as Shataayushi Swamiji.
Sri Vijnananidhi Theertharu became a mystical saint, a great sadhaka and was constantly performing Japa, Thapa and Anustana. He was always thinking and mediating upon god. His devotion towards Vishnu was pure, divine and Exemplary. Just days before Sri Vijnananidhi Theertharu attaining Haripada, Sri Suyateendra Theertharu of Sri Raghavendra Mutt felicitated and honored him with a title “Yathikula Chakravarthi”.
Achievements:
- Swamiji started monthly journal called Rangavittala, which was exclusively dedicated for propagating Dasa Sahitya
- He transformed the very outlook of Sri Narasimha Theertha at Mulbagal and established a huge auditorium named Rangavittala and also Sripadaraja Puja Mandira at Narasimha Theertha.
- Established Goshaalas
- He established national institute of Vedic sciences at Mulbagal and was responsible for publishing more than 50 books
- He created an all time record by performing MahaVishnu Yaaga for 18 days and his Brihathi Sahasra Yagna became memorable and because of this he is also known as Yagna Chakravarthi
- He conducted the 500th year of Aradhana of Sri Sripadaraja for one full year which is a record in itself. During that year, he facilitated more than 1000 scholars
- Conducted Haridasa Jaitrayatra across most of the towns in South India
- During an annual Aradhana of Sripadaraja, he offered his aradhya daiva Sri Gopinatha with Vajra Kavacha, Vajra Kireeta, Golden Peeta, Vajra Mantapa and Golden Mantapa
- He was responsible for publication of many books related to Haridasa Sahitya from Sripadaraja Mutt.
- He gave Haridasa Deekshe and Ankita to Dr.Aralumallige as “Parthasarathy Vittala”
- He established many educational institutions and hostels in Mulbagal
- Installed the Mrittika Vrundavana of Sri Padmanabha Theertharu at Mulbagal
Swamiji completed 92 years of meaningful life and completed 25 chaturmasayas as a saint and attained Haripada on Bhadrapada Krishna Tryodashi at Mulbagal.

He has a very special place in shrIpAdarAja maTa paramparE. He was instrumental in making huge improvements at the maTa headquarters of narasimha tIrtha housing the mUla brindAvana of shrIpAdarAjaru. He started the "vEda vignAna" institution to promote the study of science in vEda. Both of these achievements are aptly described in his charama shlOka.

In his pUrvAshrama, he was the municipality president of muLabAgilu town and brought in lot of improvements to the town and endeared himself to the public.
He had taken up the cleaning of narasimha tIrtha during his pUrvAshrama days. After the tIrtha was completely emptied and was to be filled up the next day, at a corner of the tIrtha, GANGA devi appeared and the pond started filling up. This was a miracle.
He was a big promoter of haridAsa sAhitya. He started rangaviTTala magazine with the objective of spreading the greatness of various haridAsAs and dEvaranAmAs.
Once when he was performing samsthAna pUje at vijaya rAyara kaTTe in chippagiri, shri vijaya dAsaru appeared before him. Others present there such as araLumallige pArthasArathy, etc. also witnessed this event. This place is now cordoned off with vishNupAda.
shri araLumallige pArthasArathy took haridAsa dIkshe from him as pArthasArathy viTTala dAsaru.
He celebrated the 500th ArAdhanE of shrIpAdarAjaru every day for the full year.
He was an expert in shAstrAs and numerology. There are many instances where he foresaw the obstacles of common people who met him and prevented those obstacles from happening including preventing death of a child. I have also been a recipient of his benevolence several times.
He used to do chintana of shAstrAs all the time and would ask panditharus present to elaborate.
He took on the people who opposed him giving place for the brindAvana of biDi sanyAsigaLu shri dEvEndra tIrtharu, at narsimha tIrtha. He argued that if shri padmanAbha tIrtharu had given place to biDi sanyAsigaLu, shri gOvinda woDeyaru, at nava brindAvana, he could give place to shri dEvEndra tIrtharu at narasimha tIrtha. Later he also gave place for the brindAvana of shri vEdavyAsa tIrtharu, another biDi sanyAsigaLu. Both the yathis are offered hastOdaka every day by the maTa.

Just Eight days earlier to his entering Brindavan, Poojya Sri Suyatheendra Swamiji of Mantralaya Raghavednra Swamy Mutt and Governer of Karnataka Sri Hansraj Bharadwaj felicitated and honoured him as "Yathikula Chakravarthi" with Swarnabhisheka. He has completed 92 years of meaningful life and a Saint of Great Sri Sripadaraja Mutt he has completed 25 Chaturmasyas.
