After succeeding Sri Sankarshana tIrtharu, Sri Parashurama tIrtharu lived in Srinagar for some time and later he traveled to South India.

He built an ashram in Sri Rangam in Tamil Nadu. He stayed in Sri Rangam for more than 10 years. This period (1322 - 1371) was the turmoil period for srirangam temple when the temple was under the siege of foreign invaders. During this period, he helped the local kings in their duties and in stabilising the political condition and the pUja in the temple.

He selected one of the scholars who visited him and made him as his successor. He named him as Sri Adiraja tIrtharu. He then entered brindAvana near chandra pushkaraNi inside the temple. Later a praNa dEvaru was consecrated near the brindAvana in honour of shri parashurAma tIrtharu.

Sri Parasurama Theertha aradhna (1354 -1364).  He is 5th peetathipathi in the Sri Padamanabha theertha paramapara (1. Acharya madhwa, 2. Sri Padmanabha theertha 3. Sri Lakshmidhara theertha (Sri Nagar), 4. Sri Sankarshana theertha (Sri Nagar). 5.Sri Parasurama theertha (Chandra pushkarani, inside Sri Rangam temple).

His brindavan is in the bank of Chandra pushkarani, inside Sri Rangam temple.
This chandra pushkarani is the place where first Sri Vibheeshana landed. This pushkarani is older then the Sri Rangam temple, ie pre exist before the Ranga vimanam stahpana.

Gurugala to Sri Parasurama theertha is Sri Sankarshana theertharu.  His Gurugalu Sri Lakshmi Dhara theertharu.  Both of these gurugala went to Sri Nagar for madhwa matha prachara stayed there, later brindavanatharu there in Sri Nagar itself (no trace of brindavan till date).   Sri Vyasarajaru during his sanchara to Sri Nagar worshipped these 2 brindavanas, established two big pong,  did prathista of one pranadevaru there. Sri Sankarshana theertharu sent his shisya Sri Parashrama theertha to South india for the punar jeevana of Ranganatha temple.  He entered the abandanded Ranganatha temple and started the regular pooja with renovation work.

When we see the Srirangam history.  The temple suffered a massive invasion during period 1322-1371. The entire temple structure was razed by Mughal forces lead by Malikapur in 1311 and Tuglak in 1323. This period is called “Tulaka Kalabham”.  The forces occupied the temple complex and stayed in the Chandanu mandapam near the present moola sthana, without Pooja for the Ranganatha. The Mughal dalapathy was suffering from many diseases, hence later they shifted to the complex near to the present Samayapuram.
In the year 1371 only Sri ranganatha returned to Sri Rangam.   The idol travelled many places and stayed in Tirupathi was quite some time (we can see Sriranganatha mandapam at the Tirumala temple with inscription).

Sri Parasurama theertha came to Srirangam. The entire temple complex was in abanded state, ruins everywhere. Gurugalu stayed there, assisted in starting of pooja and the renovation of temple.

The four yathis of Sri Sripadarja samsthana stayed at Sri Rangam and played major role in the punar jeevana of Ranganatha temple in the critical period of temple history.

Opposite to the brindavan, we can see 2 Anjaneya idols. The figure resembles that the prathista done by Sri Vyasaraja maha prabhugalu (Gante at the tail, sowgandiga pushpa on hand) Similar to the one which is in Narasimha theertha (Mulbagal).

Sri Parashurama theertha brindavan has the carving of Mutt pattada devaru Sri Gopinatha. Gajalakshmi on the front side and With korma peetam (which clearly tells that this is brindavan of yathi, rather then mere Tulasi madam)
The next successors also stayed at the Srirangam and assisted in the Temple complex getting renovated and also smooth conducting the nitya pooja of svayam vyakta Ranganatha devaru. These madhwa yathis played a major role Renovation of temple and staring nitya pooja after massive destruction to the temple.
The paramapara continued in the service of Ranganatha.

Shri Adiraja Teertharu (1364 – 1384) , Shri Satyavrata Teertharu (1384 – 1400).  Sri Swarnawarna theertha (1400-1420)
